I can't see how HitmanPro.Alert can cause this as its a passive non intrusive scanner (sorta like a task manager). Are you sure these tabs aren't just the tabs from your last Chrome session? Are you runnin Chrome stable or a dev channel? I'd call it a bug of Chrome and not related to HitmanPro.Alert

Is the problem reproducible? Like, it only happens when HitmanPro.Alert is installed?

Please uninstall and download from here:

32-bit http://dl.surfright.nl/beta/hmpalert.exe
64-bit http://dl.surfright.nl/beta/hmpalert_x64.exe
I already have that versions, and when I try to install them again it says that they are already installed.

You have to first uninstall. Then install beta3a.

Question if you press ignore when HitmanPro.Alert finds something, will it detect the same thing again, after you restart your browser or ... ?

@ErikLoman.

The reason why I was asking, was that my wife was using my computer and she opened Firefox and got a message that my browser was comprised and she just pressed ignore in all haste.

She warned me but the message was already gone and there was also no log (I deleted the log directory this morning)

I then did a full (online+offline) scan + also a HitmanPro scan but couldn't find anything. After I had done that, I restarted the browser and got greeted by a Green flag of HitmanPro.Alert.

Maybe it's a good idea, when HitmanPro.Alert finds something, it creates a support log or write some details into the event log of the computer.

But everything else is

There should be a report in C:\ProgramData\HitmanPro.Alert\

Odd. Everybody reports < 1% CPU with Beta3a. Does it still occur after reboot? And are you sure you are running file version 1.0.3.0 ?

Yes, even after reboot and no browser is running...

I'm using the files that you gave me. Installed both 32bit and 64bit...

You should just use just 64-bit version (never both 32 and 64 bit).
Also try first uninstall en then redownload en install from the links posted above. File version 1.0.3.0 is currently most recent version.

Now works fine, use +/- 1% of CPU...

Thanks.

I just did an EWS scan with HitmanPro and this came up:

If you close your browser, wait 10 seconds and open de browser again, is the Alert still triggered?

Note: HitmanPro.Alert is still Beta so problems like this are likely to occur. We are grateful to those who are willing to test this new software.

^ After a restart of the browser the alert isn't triggered again (also it's only triggered on first start of FF and not when IE is first started), but could you please explain to me why this triggers (even as it is Beta)?

I think the browser is still loading (not all modules are yet properly loaded in the process memory). This causes the alert ... I think.

That's all normal. We are almost there in preparing a Release Candidate.
