Just curious though, how many programs do you have running on your startup? If you're running quite a few, then I would recommend disabling Kingsoft PC Doctor for doing startup operations, and using it as an on-demand cleaner instead. If you are running a lot of programs on startup, maybe adding Kingsoft PC Doctor was the boiling point for your setup...Hence the slowness you might be experiencing. If this isn't the case, then this is some weird behavior. I run this on my system, and everything is nice and fast...Of course, every system is configured differently.

not sure, too much aggressive cleaning ?

That is some weird stuff, My restore points remain in tact on my system.

Another thing, you say your restore points were gone after cleaning? Did you use stock settings in Kingsoft PC Doctor or did you tweak the settings yourself?

I really don't mean to bash the software. I think my startup was a bit much for the software. I have about 50 things starting. Fortunately for me, I have AnVir task manager and it showed me which startup's Kingsoft disabled etc. Once I re-enabled the startup entries, my system was back to booting fast. Maybe the software works better in older OS's. I'll stick with cCleaner for now.

Not true, I have used it in Windows XP and Windows 7 (Old and New OS) and it runs great. Like I said, it could have a lot to do with the way a user's machine is configured (Tweaks applied, Startup entries, how many services, etc.). I run Kingsoft away from the startup, because I don't want the extra bloat even if it is low on resources. Try running it with the startup function disabled, see if that works. If not, then Kingsoft PC Doctor might not be for you.

When you enable the kingsoft popup that shows how fast the startup is ,does your times stay the same (or thereabouts) or change drastically (im talking sometimes 90secs difference) like mine does?.I can reboot a few minutes after initial reboot without opening anything and get ridiculous differences in start up times.

Bump for my question.

Sorry, I think this question may have gotten overlooked. How is the anti-malware portion?

Look at page 22, Post 533, by ams963 - Awesome look! Too sad the anti-malware module is not going to be developed any further. And a separate av product will emerge.

as well as

Page 22, post 535 by Mops21 Hi all We have plan to make a power suite with antivirus & pcdoctor http://www.kingsoftsecurity.com/foru....php?f=3&t=653

Something new is indeed in the works. So, if you want to fully utilize the Anti-Malware component by Kingsoft...I would hold off until they come out with their new product line.

The KAV 2012 beta will be released within this week, including virus scan, defense, and anti-hacker. The sales points are the innovative cloud security system, low resource usage and high compatibility with other av products.

Thanks for the update. I'm ready to try it. If the protection is as good as or better than what was in PC Doc, it should be fantastic with the new gui.

BTW - will this be completely stand alone, or can it be run with another AV?

Because the work is not done yet, the translation file should be ready when final version released.

Hey Kingsoft! Maybe the "floating bar " with features could be released as a stand alone product?
