Maybe probably in my VM, or when the final version is released.

You may want to try connectsafe again because as adult confirms you just use the printer with connectsafe this time. By the way, which network printer are you using?

Edit: LOL R. You already answered my question in the above post. Guess you're better off with OpenDNS.

I am using a Brother All-In-One Network Printer.

I was able to adjust the Brother settings to play nice with OpenDNS, but no matter how much I tried...It absolutely didn't like ConnectSafe.

I think the final version will be available as a part of HitmanPro antimalware.

Good to hear you're testing cureit. It's very powerful.

I use bytehero.......rarely. But it's good stuff.

Good, a FP that should be corrected in the next update. It will eventually be integrated into the HitmanPro scanner.

you could remove ae and make wsa work as an ae. That would make your setup lighter and faster.

And as soon as I woke up, I was back at it.
I still have lots to do, to make it right.
It's scary how much fun this can be.

I don't like EAM's surf protection. I usually turn it off when I use EAM. They really should change the host file they use.

Why the sarcasm? Did you have a bad experience with bytehero? Or is bytehero already well known to everyone here so you it is actually not a new finding?

After getting sick and tired of trying to decide what traditional AV to use, I've decided to do things a little different. I'm now running Sandboxie (paid version with Chrome forced to run sandboxed) and MBAM PRO for anything that may slip through. Both lifetime licenses I might add

No HitmanPro? Anyways, great going with only sbie and mbam pro. With IFW you got a solid setup.

I agree with your decision,Sandboxie alone can keep a system clean with out the need of resident scanners. In the rear chance something should escape sandboxie MBAM is a good addition. However sandboxie can be restricted so tight for excutables and access control making it hard for just a about anything to properly run inside to begin with.

I Have found that AppGuard and ShadowDefender to keep all the nasties off better then any Antivirus resident can do and no lose of performance.I keep Hitman pro for OD scans and System explorer to keep a close eye on processes and autoruns that I can right click and send them to VT or jotti for further analysis right from System explorer UI.

No lose of love for Antivirus but the only ones I would run is ESET or F- Prot or Ikarus even MSE.I am currently running ESET 6.0 beta on family PC Along with AppGuard and that system is doing very well with that combo.

There really is no need for a half dozen layers of security, its overboard and wasted space but thats just my opinion.

just added windows firewall denying outgoing connections...it's getting paranoid here

but so far no antivirus for me. I still like the idea of a very light antivirus just scanning incoming files like you can tweak MSE to but it seems there are no real light AV's out there...
