Why do you think it took MBAM so long?

To me the non updates on weekends is the showstopper, just not good enough in todays world, malware does not stop at 5pm on fridays only to start up again sometime during the monday. Unbelievable that a vendor who claims to have gotten a lot more resources since a takeover cannot still get this done several months after the takeover.

I can't believe that there is a security software that relies on signatures to not update on weekends. They really should change that.

Maybe they just don't like working weekends. Does anyone?

Practically all other vendors care enough about their customers to do that, even Malwarebytes the competitor updated something like 10-12 times this last weekend.

So in that respect it seems only SAS is too "lazy" to bother.

I'm pretty sure MBAM runs on 8 hour updating cycles, weekdays or other. I'd hardly hold anything against SAS just because they don't update on bloody weekends.

I can confirm that.
MBAM updated 4 times on Saturday and 6 times on Sunday.

So you're the one on the 8 hour update cycle.
I thought you said MBAM was.

Well, technically I would be on a once every day (or when I open the notebook) cycle in that case.

I've even been told on these very forums that updating MBAM once a day is 'paranoid'!

I was a beta tester for SAS 5.0. I enjoyed it, and expected nothing, but I was given a lifetime license that still works to this day, even after the company had some changes. I like SAS and will continue to support them by recommending them to all of my family and friends.

Thanks again Nick!

That's great but I'm still waiting for the incremental updates.
