If you set the Advanced Heuristics to a higher level, you will also get HIPS like pop-ups about creating drivers, adding itself to start-up automatically etc. However there is nowhere in the GUI where you can view the created rules and delete or change them if you clicked the wrong button. Please add a way to see and edit these rules/decisions.

You can view configured rules by clicking System Tools - System Control - Control Active Processes, then double click on the process you've configured a rule for, and then click the Custom Rules tab.

Ah, thanks, I still would like a separate screen for Custom Rules however, because currently there is no easy way to see for which process rules are created since you have to check every process manually and you can only check active processes.

For globally applied rules, you can click System tools - Reports - Protection statistics and double click one of the lines.

There are some things I don't want. I want it lean and mean and simple to operate as I believe it is now.

I don't want anti spam. Anti spam is the province of email programs or independent programs.

I don't want parental controls added. The only parental control worthwhile is a parent or parent surrogate of human variety.

Don't see the need to scan emails as the arrive. I remember Outlook Express email files would be corrupted. It's unnecessary.

I have Complete, it protects 3 computers in my family and one Android phone. It has worked fine so far. I believe that the features it has are fine,
perhaps some refinement of them.

I do want the password generation and management extended to other browsers. SeaMonkey, Google Chrome, K-Meleon , and Safari. So until Webroot adds coverage to other browsers I use Password Safe for the browsers not covered.

K-Meleon and SeaMonkey have code related to Firefox and Pale Moon, so cover them please, please.

Thanks, does it automatically removes rules for files no longer present on the system? All the lines don't show any rules for me, and the last I remember was allowing Hitman Pro beta to install a driver, but it's no longer on the system so that might explain it.

When clicking "Help and Support" from application's main GUI, I'd like it to launch my default browser (Firefox), or does this only happen with Windows 8 CP where IE10 is used?
Thanks

It runs lovely on Windows 8, like a duck to water as far as I've seen so far. I'll keep my eyes open for any issues, but don't think there are any...WSA seems to have such widespread compatibility.
I'm finding it totally ok with Pale Moon browser since way back also, which pleases me

In response to serious concerns posted by another long-time member in the "other" forum...

1. Make sure that if all WSA "automatic" settings are enabled, then WSA truly operates automatically and silently for maximum, human error-proof security. WSA should NOT prompt at all if those settings are checked, and it especially should NOT give non-adminstrators any options on threat detection other than the safest one: REMOVE!!!

2. The prompt added doesn't seem to be enough to mitigate the issues users are getting themselves into by canceling the cleanup scan. The time has come to either:

-Remove the GUI aspect of the cleanup scan and make it uncancelable and in the background

- Make an option specifically that will prevent any user, especially non-admins, from terminating a cleanup scan.

Not bashing just trying to stay on the road of making WSA best it can be.

Now that the SafeOnline tab seems really dead and buried perhaps it could be reincarnated in the systray icon. When the browser is protected and the icon has a lock, the user could mouse-over the icon and in addition to "version info + the foreground window is protected by ID shield" it could also show website IP, IP verification status etc like when opening SafeOnline tab.

Absolutely +1
I have never been able to understand and accept loss of the IP information when the browser tab system changed, and in fact was expecting the IP and other website info to improve with possible integration of BrightCloud's system.

Don't forget that you can also get traction for ideas at the Webroot Community also. They literally have an idea/suggestion page. ^.^ http://community.webroot.com/t5/Idea...ge/idb-p/Ideas

Putting ideas there too might help, or give +1 to the ideas that you like to vote for them.

It would be nice if we could have WSA to monitor a given process, and if changes to protected file system areas, such as Program Files and Windows, are detected, then redirect those changes to a virtualized file system in the user profile folder, and block execution.

It would be great if in PC Security > Firewall > Network Applications (Advanced) we could have a section to manually add processes that can't have network access.

As of now, the only way to block network access is to actually first let the application connect out, and then block. This way of working doesn't make much sense to me, to be honest.

Not only would be great to have it working as I'm asking, as it would be great if we could specify the IP address(es) and/or hostnames where it can connect to.

If you click 'No', it will show the submit file dialog, although just writing into support and telling them the file's MD5 is sufficient. The cloud will already know about the file.
