I hope some sort of elaboration will follow. Otherwise, it just appears to be rolling with a "t" in front.

Hmmm ... The pot calling the kettle black? Where do I start? The adblocker is poor, when Flag Button actually works it often shows the wrong country, Clean Pages often breaks pages, Wikipedia Grey Lady III loads in slow motion & I'm not even going to mention problems with Swiss Knife. Having said that, Opera's new extensions page is an improvement over the old one.

And what about " Some of them even work properly." ?

Well, some of them do (especially the rather clever Gmelius). Unfortunately Opera breaks so many pages for me (particularly on Wilders for some odd reason) I don't get the chance to test them regularly. I keep giving Opera a chance, I really do, but at least it is consistent in disappointing me.

I've just checked my desktop version of Opera & portable & they are not breaking the pages here on Wilders that my notebook version is. IDK why this is happening, maybe it's time for a clean install.

My biggest gripe with Opera "back in the day" (2006) was that it broke pages fairly often, but it doesn't seem to do that now.
I'm personally on the fence between Opera and Firefox at the moment...

Agree. I rarely find pages that are broken with Opera now. That's not to say there aren't any, but I'm just not coming across them. Sitepatching has fixed a few of the broken pages in the past: http://my.opera.com/sitepatching/blog/ |

I've used Opera since 2004 and I never found broken pages.

I've not had any page issues with Opera either, though I've been using it for less time (I guess since version 10.5 or so).
Opera simply is a more convenient browser for me. I wish it'd get some more mainstream attention though, seeing as though several security toolbars and such plainly ignore Opera. ![]() As for security, I guess it doesn't have as many security features as the other browsers, but I guess that's a matter of priorities for the developers.

@ blacknight, can you confirm if extensions are now running as a separate process (in newest v. 12 beta, x32, that you are trying)?

Sorry, I only tried for two days and then I came back to the last version, as usually I do with beta's of any program.

It stands a fair chance, but in my experience Opera breaks a lot of normal websites, including Wilders sometimes for me. Oddly, when Firefox wasn't doing well in Yahoo! Mail a while back, & is jittery a bit in Hotmail these days; Opera is fine.
