Unless you tried AVG recently,i can assure you that it's not a resource hog,in fact i can tell you that it is light as Avast or Panda Cloud,at least for me.

Default touts "blocking" ability of Malwarebytes Free -- ha, ha! [Re: PCWorld's Free Antivir]

I don't think Malwarebytes Free edition "blocks" anything -- it's on-demand-only. PCWorld article was way off base on that one. (I don't think the free version even has scheduled scans -- or was it scheduled updates that it lacked... my info may not be up-to-date on this.)
