has anyone tried or use muon package manager on ubuntu 12.04 i am pretty much impress with it what your review how its better or less to synaptic i wonder
??

The only Ubuntu I still have is 10.04 LTS so can't comment on that. However muon package manager and updater seem improved and raedy for showtime in Kubuntu 12.04.
So should really be the same on Ubuntu 12.04. Try installing the medibuntu repo with muon - it 'protects' you by refusing to install it. I think you would need to click on 'Allow installation of untrusted packages'. I currently use both Synaptic (old habits die hard), and muon. Edit:- Sorry, I mean that some of the packages pulled in by medibuntu, like libavcodec-extra 53, I was not able to install with default muon settings.

It was buggy as hell last time I tried kubuntu. However it works very well in 12.04. No complaints here.

i tried it yesterday on ubuntu pretty impress althoe synaptic is light and old fashion and great
but one thing i dont know can be done by synaptic is download and save packages and then from pendrive use same for installing on other ubuntu's as well ![]()
