I've already tried that....it's kind of bloated....ccleaner and defraggler eats no ram and rock

Really? I haven't had any problems with it on my main desktop machine, or my laptop. Hmmmm, that's weird. Another good one that you might want to check out is System Ninja or Wise Disk Cleaner. Wise Disk Cleaner is my favorite one out of all of them....Highly recommended.

Sorry, I should have re-phrased that, I haven't had any bloat from the software. Everyone has different experiences I guess.

I have used wise disk cleaner and registry cleaner from the days there were free and paid versions...now they are of course free versions only.......I would rather recommend wise registry cleaner than disk cleaner if I have to......but I don't need them......you ever tried ccleaner?....trust me it's all you need...pretty powerful stuff.......

Just done a fresh Win7 install on my new HD. Destroyed the previous one.

Anti-Malware: MBAM Pro
Anti-Virus: Avast (free)
Firewall: COMODO Firewall (free), Windows 7 Firewall Control (free)

Browser: Firefox (NoScript, AdBlock, BetterPrivacy, HTTPS-Everywhere, PrivacyChoice TrackerBlock, WOT)

General things: TrueCrypt containers (not FDE, dunno how), CCleaner, Defraggler, Eraser, YubiKey

Still don't think it's enough. Thinking about TrueCrypt FDE and Sandboxie, but I don't want to screw things up. And Sandboxie is a bit on the pricey side.

Of course, A machine without CCleaner? I wouldn't dare run a setup without it. I tend to use more than one cleaner, as they all find different thing's than the other. I am somewhat of a system utility hoarder HaHaHa

Considering that Sandboxie is only $40 for life, and you have the freedom of installing on as many machines as you like....The price is just right (My opinion of course). As said in previous posts by AMS, you can always run still protected, but with nag screen and minus a few features....But still free

but they eat ram....I don't want excessive stuff eating my ram and processing power ......and from what I have in my setup don't you think that justifies my point

I custom built my machine with overkill everything, so maybe that's why I don't notice much of a difference. I don't run any of those on startup, and always use them as separate programs. I figure if I am using it for less than a minute, I won't think anything of it. I am running a quad core machine with 8 gigs of ram, and the OS is tweaked away from all slowdown settings. I usually don't have a problem. But that's my setup, everyone has different experiences I guess.

Added Sandboxie (Free) to my security setup. I ran the tutorial and played a bit with it. Didn't know the free edition had this much benefit still. Great software so far.

Thanks for the tips!

I love the Sandboxie. There must be Sandboxie promos with good discounts - it is not convenient to use remedies.

welcome......but don't forget to consider the lifetime license or 1 year license.....not only are you gonna get full featured sbie without a nag screen and can install on as machine as you want....but you are also gonna support Tzuk to continue development of this wonderful software......
