Default PPM 2011 SE problems

I'm new to these forums so please bear with me.
I have happily used Paragon before, but I've got a new system and have run into difficulties.
My new system is an Intel i5 2500 chip with 8 GB RAM 64 bit machine using UEFI bios and running Win 7 Home Premium.

After installing Paragon Partition Manager 2011 Special Edition I can no longer see my USB sticks, I can't make the machine sleep and when I leave the machine for hours, it won't shut down automatically. When I roll back, ie restore to before the installation, all is well again.

Please help.

That is odd.

Have you tried running pm2011 portably?

Thanks for your reply.
I have got the recovery PPM on a pendrive - is it possible to install the whole of PPM 2011 SE this way? If so, how?
