Default SpywareGuard 2.2.0 update

I installed Spywareguard along back.
Recently, i tried to update it but now i see that the spywareguard is
actually looking for new updates but seems there are no new updates.

can you please help with this?

SpywareGuard, AFAIK, hasn't been updated in ages (literally, several years), and should probably be considered a semi- (or even fully) abandoned project. I asked JC a couple of years back if he agreed that SG was now more or less redundant, in view of more recent security products available to even the average user, often as quite good freeware.

And he agreed that it could now be removed with few or no ill effects (turn off its protection before uninstalling, though, same as you would with SpywareBlaster).
