Also, you can try to use a free migration OS tool: AOMEI Partition Assistant 5.0 Home Edition, it provides a migration wizard and supports migrate OS to SSD/HDD for free.

That looks not so good.
I get my new Samsung SSD today and I want to clone my Win7 64bit from my OCZ 64GB onto this fresh one. Well, thhis time I started looking in advance if there are issues with Paragon. I own the HDM pro from 2011 but I had two times severe issues with it so I fell back using Ghost 15.1 exclusively for my backup tasks and did no partitioning jobs anymore. So, Paragon was in the shelf so to speak. But now I just want to clone my OSZ SSD to my new Samsung SSD. Well, since cloning - especially via Ghost 15.1 would clone bad sectors too, I thought, what the hack, check Paragon again ![]() Now, I thought, mhh HDM pro has this " Paragon Migrate OS to SSD " function besides normal cloning. I think and hope that the difference between both will be what I described. Skipping of bad sectors and so. And alligning. Can you and other Paragon users tell me more? * Should I use Paragon Migrate OS to SSD ? * Or should I clone 1:1 with what ever tool. There are dozends. * Should I look for another move to SSD tool? Thank you ver much!!! PS: My procedure will be that I will attach the new SSD into a USB dock or inside my PC at a SATA port. After cloning the old one goes out and the new Samsung SDD will take its place (the SATA port where the old one was. |

I used paragon drive copy to migrate - it aligned the drive and completed the activities pretty seamlessly

Have you checked the disk for errors? could an av or firewall be stopping the imaging? |
