Default SpywareBlaster AutoUpdate problems

Good Evening All

I have had SpywareBlaster AutoUpdate installed on my laptop for a couple of years and, apart from a slight glitch last summer, it has been trouble-free.

Just recently, however, when I instigate log-off (between user accounts) or shut-down a grey dialogue box appears headed with SpywareBlaster's name saying "ending program please wait". This is then replaced with a box saying "program is not responding, click 'end now' " (or something like that).

I then have to click this box off to enable the log-off or shut-down to proceed normally, which it does.

The program is the latest version 4.6 done around 2weeks ago and all definition updates are installed.

I have asked JavaCool support about it,but they are not coming up with any help, so just wondered if any of the members of this forum could suggest a solution to stop this happening?

Best regards

Roy

Default Re: SpywareBlaster AutoUpdate problems

Hi,

We've been doing quite a bit of testing, and cannot reproduce this issue yet. I just sent you an e-mail with more details and a few more questions.

(Since we have not been able to reproduce this issue, it is likely that something else is the culprit. One possible culprit is ZoneAlarm, if it's incorrectly blocking/suspending AutoUpdate. Please see my e-mail for more troubleshooting steps/details.)

Thanks!

Best regards,

-Javacool
