Question Mac OS X hang, crash

I just bought and installed the NTFS drivers on my Mac OS X 10.6.8 system.

I've already had one system hard hang and one crash since installing the latest version of the NTFS software. I've never had such an issue before.

Is this typical behavior?

The hang occurred while trying to dismount a USB drive formatted in NTFS.

Please, contact Paragon support team. They will investigate this issue immediately.
By the way, try to verify this NTFS volume with Disk Utility.

I am also having a problem emptying my trash with several folders from my NTFS drive inside. Occasionally I received an error -50 message, but following some other deletions and such I now get a kernel panic (hard crash) every single time. I attempted to remove the items one at a time but I received a kernel panic on the 2nd or 3rd item, and furthermore, I'm unsure as to whether I ought to try moving them to my Mac desktop or back into my NTFS drive.

Have you resolved this issue yet? I'm trying to exhaust all options before contacting Paragon.

If anyone experience problems with this, try the following:

Optional: Uninstall NTFS for Mac OS X using uninstaller available from Paragon.

1. Install NTFS for Mac OS X and do not reboot
2. Go to System Preferences - NTFS for Mac OS X
3. Enable "Turn the Paragon NTFS for Mac OS X driver off"
4. Reboot
5. Unmount NTFS volume from Disk Utility
6. Turn on NTFS for Mac driver
7. Mount NTFS volume from Disk Utility

Fixed my OS X hangs :-)

Also, if you have problems uninstalling you can try creating a new OSX admin user and disable the driver on first login.
