ESET discontinues more server products based on NOD32 Antivirus 2.7

End of Life announcement for three more ESET Antivirus NOD32 version 2.7 server products.

ESET will begin phasing out server products based on the ESET NOD32 Antivirus 2.7 engine on February 1, 2011. The server software will be removed from the ESET website and will no longer be sold beginning February 1, 2011. Customers with server products based on NOD32 Antivirus 2.7 will continue to be protected with signature updates until February 1, 2012. ESET customers should update to the current ESET software release.

The three new server products affected:

• ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Dell Network Attached Storage
  • Current customers can upgrade to ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Dell Power Vault Storage.
• ESET Mail/File/Gateway Security for Linux/BSD/Solaris V2.7
  • Current customers can upgrade to ESET Mail/File/Gateway Security for Linux/BSD/Solaris V3.0 for free.
• ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Kerio Connect (formerly Kerio Mail Server), V2.7 Linux version
  • Current customers can upgrade to Linux Mail Security V3.0 which fully supports integration with Kerio Connect.

In order to assist some enterprise customers who are continuing there migration from NOD32 v2.70 to ESET NOD32 Antivirus v3.0+, ESET has extended the date on which v2.70 was to be discontinued from February 1, 2012 to April 30, 2012.

On that date, virus signature database updates and technical support for NOD32 v2.70 will cease to be provided.

Upgrades to newer versions of ESET NOD32 Antivirus are free for licensed users and your local ESET reseller, distributor or office can assist you with migrating to a currently supported version of the software.

As announced over two years ago, support for NOD32 v2.70 and products based on the 2.70 engine has concluded.

Upgrading to a newer version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus is free for licensed customers.
