Default Why can't I get migration to work with HDM Suite 11?

Hi,

I bought Hard Disk Manager Suite to help my migration of a MacBook Pro to a new, larger HDD. (The MacBook has a BootCamp partition with Windows 7 on it and the Mac side is running Lion.)

Yesterday I went through *two* attempts to use the migration wizard, the first time doing the "Raw" copy, and the second time with this option unselected. Neither worked:

- The first time the only visible partition was the Recovery Partition (a 650MB partition created by Lion for system recovery). This was the case when trying use the disk for booting over USB and when it was fitted inside the MacBook. (By contrast, I could use my original disk to boot over USB.)

- The second time, no partition was visible at all on the boot screen! Yikes.

When I boot from my original disk and examine the new one in HDM Suite, I can see that it does appear to have several partitions. Two things are strange though: first, it doesn't mount, so I can't see the partitions in Explorer. Second, instead of having 15GB free, my Windows partition now has 0 bytes free: i.e. all the data has been copied but the partition has been *shrunk* from its size on the original disk. That's not very helpful. Anyone ever managed to run Windows on a disk with 0 free bytes?!!?

I have verified that the disk itself works fine, so it's not a problem with the hardware.

So, my questions:
- Am I doing something wrong?

- How do I fix my present situation?

Please help...thanks!
John.
