Install problem
I uninstalled Eset Antivirus v. 4.4.0.468. I must have uninstalled it incorrectly as I cannot install any newer version now. I get the error message during install that:
"eset antivirus could not write value productcode to key \Software\eset\eset Security\currentversion\Info
verify that you have complete access to that key"
This was a trial download left on my computer so I had no username or password to use, or at least as i remember it being so. How do I install another newer version and not get that message error above? I have to quit installation and it rolls back the installation. I am left now with no antivirus protection.
I checked out all the knowledge base answers and did as they suggested, but still no luck. I am using Windows XP.
Would someone please help me with this problem as I have quoted the error exactly except where it says to contact customer support, which I have already done yesterday and still no answer back.
