Default Returnil Suspicious Files

I have been using Returnil for a good while now and it has become one of my favorite security apps. I have not had any problems at all with it until recently. Returnil has started to periodically give me a pop-up about suspicious files. If I select all the files for it to upload it doesn't seem to do anything and at some point I will get the same pop-up again. Is there a way I can stop this? It happens sometimes when I am in the middle of a game and it takes me to the desktop. Needless to say that gets annoying. I looked at the files and they all appear to be false positives anyway. Just wondering if there is a way to make this stop.

Hi CM,
The program will upload unrecognized content and behavior information that may be suspicious due to some feature or activity that COULD be an indication of malware or PUPs. The goal is to gather better intelligence on what is and what is not really malicious.

The information is sent for analysis for both white and black listing. If this is hampering your gaming sessions, you might want to deactivate the upload in Data Policy temporarily.

Regarding the uploading, the information should be going to the server as a low priority task based on the bandwidth setting in the same area (Virus guard > Settings > Data Collection Policy) and your report here makes me think you might have this set to "Ask me for approval...". Have you tried setting it to the default setting of "Report anonymous information..."? If this setting does not offer relief, try setting it to "Do not collect..." as I suggest above and let me know the results.

Mike

Yes it was set to "ask me for approval". I changed it as you suggested. I will report back within the next few days if that solved the problem or not. Thanks for the reply.

So far it has not happened again so I think it's safe to say that was the issue. Thanks for the help.
