    Ver 2111 Beta 2 out.

Update: We have just updated to the version 5.8.210479.2111 because of a rare issue related to HIPS. Please update your copies if you receive an update notification.

He says that he has the final version. So it must be getting close to releasing. I'll be excited to see this release and have them start working on ver 6. Can't wait till that comes out in beta.

Due tomorrow if everything works out CIS 5.8 will come out.

My question is does the Sandbox now have full file and registry virtulization?

The update is available if your using the 5.8 RC version. Not for 5.5. From what I have noticed.

Internal update from the previous version works fine. All settings saved.

Thanks for the heads-up about this new release. I guess I can now update the firewall to this latest version. Right? I'm currently running version 5.5

Damn, i uninstalled Comodo and set built-in security. Now i want to install it so badly. I think i will disable the windows firewall and install Comodo Firewall without defense and antivirus. :isay:

anyone running sandboxie with CIS? maybe CIS is good enough not sure how well the auto sandbox is. When things are auto sandboxed does the stuff get deleted like sandboxie? or does it keep it stored and i have to delete the sandbox contents?

    Brocke,
I'm using sandboxie and comodo firewall with shadow defender. All is well. No conflicts. Even when I used CIS 5.5 and sandboxie everything worked well together. Comodo's sandbox is really more like a policy restriction. If you have it set too high (like I do) it won't allow the process to run. You have to trust it and then purge it from the sandbox list.

Auto sandbox does not virtualize registry/file system writes so there's nothing to delete. It works similar to the Run Safer feature of Online Armor. Manually sandboxed programs (by Explorer context menu and "Always Sandbox" list) are virtualized if you have virtualization set in the options but, AFAIK, the virtualized data is not deleted automatically.
