Anti Spam Tool for Nod32 V5 AV only

I have the AV only NOT smart security.

Are there tools you guys can suggest that will help me with Spam?

I recall that I had PC tools anti spam years ago. It was integrated with MS Outlook I think.

Thanks I looked for anti spam forum wasn't sure either.

Answers to your questions are:

1) windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
2) I use MS Outlook 2010 and the ISP's yahoo based server as well
3) I am always open to change if there is a solid rationale for change.

Use windows live mail and its got very good anti spam built into it and you dont need any plugins or extra software

dont like Windows Live Mail but... you may like it.

antispam exist in these free e-mail clients :

- Mozilla Thunderbird

- Opera Mail. If you used Opera browser, just activate Opera Mail and you have all in one apps : browser, mail and much more. I love it !!

Over the past year, I've shifted loyalties to MailWasher Pro 2011 and find this standalone anti-SPAM program to be much more advanced and customizable than any other integrated solution I've ever used.

i forgot Mailwasher, it is very good. I used it some years ago. But now, Opera browser and Mail can do what FF, Outlook/Thunderbird and Mailwasher did for me before, in just one and only apps.

you can set account in Opera Mail with your actual isp email adress and servers and yahoo email adress, gmail adress...... no problem. Have a look to Opera Mail tutorial

same response, spam is received by mail so only email client should have antispam fonction, not browser.

When I'm on the "new" yahoo mail used by my current ISP this is a email client that just happens to be running on the ISP setup.

Yet it has the anti-spam tool/function and filter rules I can set up.

I have MS Outlook as you say it is NOT a browser and they (M$) just updated their junk mail filter.

your yahoo mail is received by yahoo web site showed in your browser. That is not the same process of a email client in your pc that (send and) receive by itself all email and have to analyse them for spam.

Exactly! So I can if so inclined go to the ISP yahoo based email and read and delete and detect/scrap all the spam that slips through their screen.

Then I can download only the mail I want to store on my personal box!

I use Windows Mail internal. After setting it at low for awhile then ticking to permantly delete junk mail, it works as well, if not better, then all of the rest. I swear Esets has yet to label anything as spam.

mailwasher can do the same job.

Very rare spam here. Analyse why you got some to prevent.
