Default Returnil System Restore

is this like image backup tool (ie. Macrium Reflect) or ISR (ex. FD-ISR, Comodo Time Machine)?

What does it do? How to use it?

Do I need to enable Windows System Restore to use it?

Default Re: Returnil System Restore

At the moment it is based on the native Windows System Restore with extras:

1. Full Restore: When you open this feature, you will see a list of all restore points and backups you have available and the most recent one will be scanned by the Virus Guard for potential malware infections. Once this scan is complete, you can rescan it (presuming a new update was downloaded) or choose any of the other points in the list and force a similar scan.

Once you have selected a restore point to use, you will then get another screen that shows details of the chosen restore point so you can verify that it is indeed the one you want to use. Then the last screen is to launch the restore process which will automatically restart your computer as you would expect from the native Windows feature.

2. Once the restore has completed, you now have access to the File Restore where you can restore selected files from the previous machine state if required. You will see a yellow "system requires attention" message from RSS that you can hide or you can cancel the file Restore after starting the restore and clicking no when asked if you want to recover files from the previous machine state.

The monitor will watch for restore and backups even if they are created by another program and should show as available options in the screen mentioned above at the start of this reply.
