I Have MS Office 2010 Home & Student Edition and I did not see an update for SP1 via MS automatic updates.

Does this particular version not qualify for updates?

It does qualify but you sometimes have to wait a little extra time for the update to be available via automatic updates :)

Same here, mine showed up via automatic updates yesterday. It was about 380MB. Installed smoothly without a hitch and all is well....

I got it via Auto Update Notification yesterday for Office 2010 Pro x64 and it was over 500MB and it installed smoothly! ;)

I saw it through Windows Update as well as an important update, but it was unchecked by default.

If someone is interested in buying MS Office 2010 packages or downloading a free 60 day trial, this is the website I've used to download my trial version from: http://buyoffice.microsoft.com/usa

It's been almost 3 months and I still have NOT received the SP1 updates through MS Windows Update.

Does anyone know for sure that the SP1 is indeed available for the "Home and Student" edition of Office 2010o_O

    Thanks.

Sounds like you haven't enabled Windows Update to provide you updates "for other Microsoft products" maybe?

    ^ I just checked and it's enabled.

This is the version that I have. It says "32-bit" but I'm running Win7 x64.

Still not receiving SP1 when clicking Windows Update. Does this version not update to SP1?

Also does "Office Home & Student 2010 edition" come in x64?

You'll get SP1 if you have Microsoft Updates set up and enabled. Not just Windows Update. There is a difference....

Microsoft Updates is enabled (checked) under Windows Update > Change Settings > Microsoft Updates.

Ok. Well, if it's not already installed, then I have no idea why it's not showing up. Perhaps you can manually download and install it.

Birdman, you are running SP1! The version of MS Word in your attached pic is 14.0.6023.1000 and this is what it is supposed to be after SP1 upgrade. You must have been automatically upgraded months ago.

    :argh:

Lol, well that explains WHY then. Thanks for pointing this out to me Raza. I don't recall SP1 being installed but then again MS rolls out their updates in large batches and it could have slipped under my radar. :thumb:
