Default GPT Disk Manager not showing full 3 TB disk

I am using Win XP Pro SP3. Both "Convert disk to GPT Wizard" and "Create New Partition Wizard" could see only 746.5 GB on my WD Caviar Green 3 TB disk. Re-installed the GPT Loader many times but no difference.

1. Do you use HBA (specific adapter) to connect your 3TB drive?
If yes, please try to connect your 3TB drive directly via SATA port.

2. Please post here log files:
find "PWLOG.TXT", "STUBACT.LOG", "BioNTlog.TXT" in "C:\Program Files\Paragon Software\[Program Name]\Program"

3. Please post here a screenshot of Convert Hard Disk to GPT wizard where incorrectly recognized 3TB drive is shown.

The drive is directly connected to one of the motherboard's (Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4) SATA port.

Log files and screenshot attached.

According to provided info the issue could be related to third-party HDD controller driver installed.

Could you please provide following info:
1. Full system info:
* open Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information;
* choose the "Save" option in the "File" menu ,
* enter the "File name" and set the field "Save as type" to "System Information File (*.NFO)";

2. Full System LOG:
* Right-click My Computer and select Manage
* Go to Event Viewer – System
* Right-click System group and select Export
* Select TXT format and click Save.

3. DetectAF report:
* Download DetectAF utility from Paragon FTP:
http://ftp.paragon.eu.com/support/DetectAF.exe
* Run saved *.exe file,
* Once report generated, select all generated text (press Ctrl+A) ,
* Press Ctrl+C hot-key to copy text,
* Open Notepad and go to Edit – Paste,
* Save created report in *.txt format from Notepad;

4. Screenshot of scsiformat utility:
* Download scsiformat utility from Paragon FTP:
http://ftp.paragon.eu.com/support/scsiformat.zip
* Unzip the archive
* Run scsiformat.exe file
* Select problem Hard Drive from the list of connected Disks
* Press 'PrintScreen' key on the keyboard to capture the screen into the Windows Clipboard;

The reason is that your 3TB drive is recognized as SCSI device, not as SATA device.
GPT Loader uses standard SATA\IDE commands and SCSI devices can't work with SATA\IDE commands.

It means that you have third-part HDD controller driver installed (e.g. Nvidia or AMD driver).

In your situation the 3TB drive appears to be connected via JMicron chip, used for RAID and/or for extra IDE and SATA port.

Please try to disable JMicron in BIOS
