    Since you asked, yes!
    Since release on 31/08

Uses (even) more RAM than v.7 but runs well enough so far.
Like full SD, I'm told it includes per-session caching of "clean" scanned files.

I noticed that if you select "Enable kernel compatibility mode" the av will not scan on-access, so the PC run faster.

Another interesting thing are the ads in the program. They are different (more annoying) in English than another languages.

With the same ads like before? :doubt:

Really? I cannot reproduce this. Do you have another scanner resident?

    Both "annoying" ads attached. ;)

No. You need to restart the PC.

This are the ads in Spanish (the same with another language different from English).

There is no ad at the bottom at any time using the program.

Of course I did restart the PC :argh:
Still scans and detects in "Kernel Compatibility" mode for me.

Sin duda, la versión en Español es más bonito!

It(Spyware doctor+av) only gets 'standard' in the latest pro-active test from AV-comparatives, and the free version without threatfire will probably be worse. It's more decent on the latest on-demand test though, but for realtime protection I would chose one that does better at zero-day threats.

BoerenkoolMetWorst, you are making a big 'StampotRauweAndijvieMetSpek' of it, see disclaimer of AV

So no ThreatFire involved. Important to notice is that it is just an on-demand scan with non-updated malware data base. So AVG for example does not have any advantage of Identity Protection (PRSC behavioral blocker) component, nor the former Ewido anti-malware (which triggered at suspicious registry access) Same with Spyware Doctor, it dies not has any advantage of the ThreatFire behavioral blocker or the Spyware Doctor (also an anti-spyware historie) of its extra checks and balances (registry key access)

I'll have to take your word for it. I could just blame my Castillian oracle (he's from Zamora) but it could well have been a typo by me. :doubt:

I assume PC Tools AV Free uses the same signatures as PC Tools IS? :doubt:

Yes. And with 8.0.0.623 the files are more compact than before, ~60MB vs ~105MB.
