This is a question I encountered on a Dutch computerforum.
Partly out of curiosity and partly to make sure. When starting Windows 98 SE a file called TC$10001.exe is created in the Windows\Temp folder Selecting Properties for this file learns that it is UPX executable packer made by http://upx.sf.net/ Trial and error method learned that this file is created by automatic startup for The Cleaner. Does any of you know what itīs for? For those of you that want to read the original thread (in Dutch): http://www.helpmij.nl/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=76109 Regards, Pieter

I would imagine that that's what The Cleaner is using for scanning for UPX ?
Check this thread: http://www.moosoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=225 . Pete

You're quite welcome.
Daniel's been very busy over there lately - and I believe it's starting to pay off for his users'. Pete
