I feel positive that this is a hoax although I am no "pro" ... This email was forwarded to me by my great aunt, and I have a real bad feeling about this as it looks like some type of Windows manager executable, anyone know what it is? I just received a message from someone in my address book and was warned that this virus may have been forwarded to me. Their address book had been infected by a virus and it was passed on to my computer. I was told that THE VIRUS called (jdbgmgr.exe) is not detected by Norton or McAfee Anti-virus systems. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by the messenger and by the Address Book whether or not you sent emails to your contacts. > >I have checked - found it - and deleted it. Here's how to check for the virus and how to get rid of it: > >1. GO TO START, Find or Search option >2. FILES/FOLDER option, write the name jdbgmgr.exe >3. Be sure to SEARCH your C DRIVE >4. Click "Find Now" >5. The Virus has a Teddy Bear Icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe - DO NOT OPEN IT >6. Right Click with your mouse to delete it >7. Go to the RECYCLE BIN and delete it there as well > >IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS. > >Sorry about this.

Hi guys! One way to avoid problems like these is not to open any unsolicited e-mail, unless you are positive the source is trustworthy. If you delete something that is important, they can try again later. This hoax is like a really nasty chain letter and gets you to bang your head on the wall. Ouch!
