Scan speed

HI

I am using ESS 4.2.35.0 I have quiet alot of files on my hdd and its a 1tb video files a few games editting software etc.

I just wounder how it scans so quick.... IE 40 % to 69 % in no time at all...

Yet I use to use KIS 2010 and it took longer..

I doing smart scan..


Is it do a full scan ie going though everything Hows it so quick?

smart scan whole drive i dont do custom scans... i just wounder why scans are so fast?

Any one know why?
