Wondering what is the "mystery" product?

Do you need beta testers? I would like to participate in the beta.

Mitch, please tell me that buying a FirstDefense-Rescue workstation license was not a mistake...

Same here

OTOH seeing as the competition is linked with Mcafee my first impression was that it would be some sort of link up between Leapfrog and Mcafee ?

So it looks like you're only eligible to participate in the contest and/or discount if you use (ugh!) McAffee.

Yes, i am sure Wilders' is packed with people using McAfee! ROFLMAO!

I don't even know what's the update problem in question. But i can use my imagination! I can make up a really good story with multiple Windows crashes, event viewer errors, data corruption, smoke coming up from the hard disk, monitor flickering!

Ok, here's a quick one

It was a rather warm spring evening. I was merilly surfing around the internet, feeling warm and fuzzy thanks to my strong McAfee antivirus. Nobody could predict what was about to happen. Suddenly, while i was switching browser tabs, the browser freezes. I think "now what!" and i try to launch the task manager. Alas, no reply! Windows seems utterly frozen. I also notice that mcafee's systray icon is blinking like mad. I put my headphones on and to my surprise i hear the voice message "McAfee antivirus update succs... succs... succs". I think "Gee, something must have gone wrong with the update, since the sound alert is stuck".

I try to click to my start button and launch the event viewer. Instead i get a pop up saying that explorer.exe has crashed and needs to be restarted. I click OK, but to my surprise, i get a BSOD! I reset the PC using the hard switch unaware of what had happened. Windows reboots. Or wait! It doesn't! As soon as i see the Windows 7 logo, i get screen corruption and everything freezes! Panicked, i think "FD-Rescue", i wish i had you now! Damn you Horizon Datasys for not updating my XP version! Damn you, may you burst into flames! Oh dear , what do i do now?! Fortunately, i remember my Macrium image. I boot from the Linux CD and restore an image without McAfee. What a relief! "I 'd rather use Avast from now on" i think and ditch away the McAfee CD.

What! It's no good because it shows McAfee in a bad light?! It doesn't count because i don't use McAfee?! It kills a bit PR? Come on, it's a good story! McAfee, Avast, what's the difference, they 're all antivirus!
