Multiple Full Backups (as in previous versions)

I left a message regarding "multiple FULL backups" a long time ago. Since TI2009 dropped that ability I went over to GHOST 14.

Has TI2009 added this ability (see message quoted below)?

Please be aware that currently in Acronis True Image Home 2009 there is no way to set up a schedule that would automatically recreate the full backup regularly. However, since currently such option is one of the most popular requests, it's being looked into the possibility to implement it into the current design.

Yes, it had it all along, it's jsut that Acronis didn't know about it until a user pointed it out. Basically, you have to use the consolidation feature but set the number of incs before conolsidation to 0. ATI will try to consoldiate after each full, have no incs to consolidate, and then just delete the oldest full file.You can find out about it in this thread -- look for Post 4 by Vlad:

Interesting, thanks. I'll check it out. Ghost 14 has been flawless under Vista (both backups and restores) but currently it doesn't support Windows 7 (it doesn't back up the small partition Win7 creates). It seems TI does do that.

I recommend you to use a batch file (pre-backup command), for example, Batch file for managing backup sets saved locally available here.

If you want to keep full and no incremental or differential backups you can set the amount of backups in each set to 1 so each set only consists of one full backup.

Geez ....

You take such a BASIC, LOGICAL and SIMPLE process and turn it into a confusing mess. Why not just add this as a feture in your software like it was for all the years up until your 2009 version?
