Default acronis DD starting superslow under XPprof
it takes 20 minutes for DD to show up? Ist that normal?

Certainly not. It suggests to me that you have some problem in your IDE/SATA/USB i.e. DD may be looking to make sense of a channel or drive that is faulty.
