Using a new drive for multiple boot OS's
Hi,
I'm a noob with DD10 and multiple boot OS's. To make sure I don't mess up my existing machine (with XP, lot of programs, lots of data etc.) I plan to remove all hard drives and install Ubuntu and Windows 98 on to a separate hard drive. Then I would add the old hard drives back into the system and use the OS selector to allow me to select XP, 98 or Ubuntu. Does this make sense? Is it the safest way to go? Thanks, Bob Schoner |

I think your method is quite complicated! I mean using different hard drives (physical ones) makes things a bit complicated!
I suggest that you partition your existing hard drive/ drives into different partitions and then give each partition an OS! That's how you can keep your data safe in my opinion. Of course this needs a good antivirus solution and for that I recommend BitDefender! It's great for what you're trying to do... having a safe computer
