Hello all,
after trying to make data backup from my compact notebook to a external hdd via usb adapter and using Acronis true image home 2009 from boot cd I got a error message, can not read files. After that I did try to reboot my notebook and it faled to do so. It read (a disk read error occured). I just got the software today from your web site and need some help. Thank ![]() |

Hello Jaypeak,
Thank you for using Acronis True Image I suppose the file system can be corrupted. To resolve the issue could you please check the disks for errors? - Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd) - Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r" where DISK is the partition letter you need to check. Please note, that checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine. If this doesn't help, please download Acronis Report utility available here and run it, create a report and attach to your post. This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure. Thank you. -- Oleg Lee
