Jasonman, your post does matter. Maybe if you explain what you mean by "note" or what the note says will help all here to assist you. Also if web access protection is not working, make sure you have the box checked for it in the setup menu.

The bottomline is you and all here want it to work for you.

I think the exclamation mark (!) is showing because you don't have all the windows updates installed. You can turn off that notification by going here: Setup>Tools>System updates then u must choose No updates

As for the other problem, I don't know what could be.

Hi I had the same problem with Advanced set up - I noticed that the small box (with a default tick) that activates web access protection - that the tick removes itself once you log out
