Kafka land.
This is surreal.
I have only recently moved to this realm and have never experienced anything like it. I am a PC user - repeat user - since the time of CPM (pre DOS for any juveniles) regarding the PC as a fine tool, not an end in itself. All I want to do is to make it possible to preserve this facility even if things should go very wrong.
I am familiar with the fact that there is no error-free SW, but this is rediculous. In many respects it does not work at all!
I am as impressed as surprized to read this forum. There is an element of machocism to be noted in between the enthusiasm revealed. For me, I can't get it into my head that this is a commercial product and people are willing to spend money - and even priceless parts of their lives on this?
Perhaps imaging SW is a very tricky thing to do, but how difficult can it be to write some instructions to move my system fra A to B and then to C? On an otherwise well behaved PC?
I could be tempted to make analogies with other purchases we make, but that would lead me into absurdum. So I am simply going to do exactly what I would do with any other non functioning merchandize: throw it away and try something else.
I will not even spend time to get a refund, that is in any case just loose change compared with the value of the hours I have spent on this SW.
I wish you all good luck with Acronis True Image.
