Thanks Jason!
Managed to install and run GSS 1.410 in an Innotek VirtualBox machine (Windows XP with all the latest updates) without major problems. Cool ![]() It's easy to see that it's not a finished product... but it looks promising and seems to be very light on resources. Peaks about 6-7 Mbytes on virtual & physical memory and the CPU load bumps to 0.98% once in a while but the peak has yet to rise above 3%. However, too early to say anything definite but it looks fairly stable so far. |

Registration will be changing which is why I haven't added it yet. Will also be changing to a different payment system, either version based or time based, like most of the other companies. All existing customers up to the change however will have lifetime free upgrades. I'll make it more public when it happens.

Indeed, installation ok, without any problems on my old W2K-Testmachine.
First impression: the old Beta was much better and gave me more information. I also miss the "network feature", IP-address shown when a program accessing the Internet. Will it be implemented again ? When closing GSS the Icon in Systray disappears. A bug ?. Waiting for the next release(s) Dieter |

If you close it, the GSS icon disappears (but GSS is still running). If you minimize it, GSS "minimizes" to the systray icon instead. Not sure if it's a feature or a bug . In any case, I think the user should be given the option to configure this behavior. Two other comments so far:

I've installed without problem
But what i encountered during my computer usage : Some popup appears from GSS into taskbar, i've found after iconify the window of the alert, but without any "painting" : the mouse change when i pass over button but window contains for painting the desktop, so i could validate the action. Impossible to take a snapshot : strange. So i decided to quit GSS int the icon tray, and relaunch : now nearly same behavior : window entry in the taskbar, i could select top of the gss window and move it around the desktop, but this time i could take a bizzare screenshot of my desktop in black and white! Very strange graphic corruption. |

LOL. Think I'll stick with 1.110 BETA for a few more years.
