Save Tib to DVD

I have just finished reinstalling my system, and have created a backup.tib on a USB drive that I use for backups.

I would like to safe this file in case of a major corruption. I have a Dual Layer DVD that I would like to copy the file to. Can this be done? If so how....

I'm pretty sure it can be done if you just burn the tib file with any burning software as a DATA dvd.

If it's too big to fit on one dvd, you might be able to split it up with any archiving software like winrar/7-zip.

 

If it is too big, I would remake the archive with the split size set to the correct DVD size rather than use a third-party file splitter/combiner. One bit out of place and TI will declare the archive as corrupt.

You can burn the tib file to the DVD with Nero, Roxio or whatever. I always use the Nero "verify after burning" feature to ensure all is well. TI is supposed to support D/L DVDs but I haven't tried it.

I have not had any luck with using the Dual Layer DVD player to make a backup of any reliability. Has anyone else? The file is big as its 17gig.

- Have you received any error messages? What exact error messages? When exactly have you received them?

- Describe actions taken before the problem appears step-by-step.

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.
