I hope Nadella will change things about MS, because win8 was a total disaster :cautious: ... even win8.1 didn't change anything...we will wait and see...

A cloudy announcement. Ballmer will be on the Board and Gates will be onsite 3 days a week. Retirement does not mean 'gone'.

I was a little curious to see if the new CEO will remove the stacked ranking among the employees, but I just read an article that said MS abolished it a few months back. I'll bet a lot of folks there were glad to hear that.

Satya Nadella's background is interesting. Rather a surprising choice seeing how much attention given by the media and speculations made involving other known candidates. Personally, I wasn't keen on the idea of Elop being the successor so this is better music to my ears.

Anyway, time will prove a man's worth.

I agree. I am also happy that Vestberg stayed with Ericsson actually, not that he wouldn't have done a great job at MS more that he currently do a great job and fit in well at Ericsson so I wanted him to stay put :D

If this is actually true then maybe the new top man will finally understand how disliked Win8x really is :)

I mean when Bill Gates himself says screw it I will stick with Win7 :D

I wouldn't trust that source for accuracy.

The 100 day plan, lol. The inner circle would have asked all of the candidates for their vision of the company during the selection and evaluation period. The strategy to accomplish this vision would have also been discussed. These 100 day plans are PR to impress media and shareholders and are prepared and communicated by staffers.

However, this company will have 3 emperors at the helm and I am interested in how that is going to work out. Yes master.

"Nadella gave no hint Tuesday that he would push some of the current top executives or any board members out. Ballmer, however, made a point to emphasize that the senior leadership team (or SLT as he called it) was valuable, not a surprise since they were his choices. "

The inner sanctum at MS has always and will always be in place. Appreciate your unique point of view.
