The installer still doesn't work when DEP and ASLR set to Always On. The program itself works fine with those settings. As a workaround, I have to temporarily revert to default settings to install.

If someone's on their forum, can you share with them about this?

Thanks a lot. I really hope they look into this. It's been quite some time since this was known but I guess nobody reported it to them.

CCleaner is a trusted program in my list and has been reliable so far. With it being well-known name and has a wide user-base, it's slightly disappointing to see that the installer fails with modern security technologies.

Why not use the portable version? I always go for those over installers when available.

I know. I have CCleaner portable on my external disk. I prefer portables too most of the time but some programs are just too handy having them installed (such as browsers)

    For e.g.
With CCleaner installed version, you can "Skip UAC warnings" on an AAM account because it uses the Task Scheduler trick.
With CCleaner installed version, you can run CCleaner with limited rights under LUA with SRP/Applocker.

Thanks for the heads up. Slim is up for download now. I must have been the first one to upload it to VT. It came back clean .
