Escalader Internet Explorer uses a sort of different 'type' of flash player.

So you need one for IE and one for any other browser you use.

If you look here for example on FileHippo and scroll down a bit to where it says Related Downloads you will see the Flash download links for

IE 64bit

Other browsers 64bit

IE 32bit

Other browsers 32bit.

If you open flash player icon in your PC Control Panel and click the advanced tab it should tell you there what number version you have, and if there are 2 listed you have one for each browser (IE and non IE)

If you are running Windows 8, Flash is built into IE10 and Windows Updates takes care of it for you.

Filehippo flash player download is directly from Adobe as is now requested by Adobe.

Same reason as why the installer full version cannot be linked to here on Wilders

Click-to-Play for Office is Here!

Last week, we introduced a new Flash Player feature that includes a new Microsoft Office click-to-play capability that determines whether Flash Player is being launched within Microsoft Office and automatically checks the version of Office. Launching Flash Player 11.6 from within a version of Office older than Office 2010 will prompt the end-user before executing the Flash content, ensuring potentially malicious content does not immediately execute and impact the end-user.

It is estimated that, during their lifetime, computer users will have spent three whole months installing Adobe updates.

Okay, that statistic is made up - but the seemingly endless stream of security updates and fixes that emerge from Adobe HQ for their Flash and Acrobat Reader products certainly make it feel like that sometimes.

Adobe releases critical security updates for Reader, Flash Player, and ColdFusion

One of the patched ColdFusion flaws is already targeted by attackers

Adobe has released scheduled security updates for its Reader, Acrobat, Flash Player, and ColdFusion products on Tuesday in order to fix many critical vulnerabilities, including one that is already actively exploited by attackers.

The Adobe Reader and Acrobat updates include fixes for 27 vulnerabilities, 24 of which could lead to arbitrary code execution if exploited successfully. One of the other flaws could allow attackers to bypass the sandbox protection in Adobe Reader, the company said in a security advisory.
