And after, my licence expiration date (2013-07-10) appear from the Home menu...but there still the status that the product is not activated...

Downloaded the live installer, clicked run and the installer crashes!!
Why use this method over just downloading the whole file?
Why not give us a choice? For those who know what version to download they should be able to download the full executable! For those who don't can use the live installer.
Contacted ESET and should know something today!

I had an email from ESET apologising and that the problem had been rectified. However, I am not at home yet to confirm.

That's the same page I went to. You can only download the live installer their.

I did find out what the problem was. The live installer didn't like Outpost firewall Pro ver.7.5.1! I thought disabling it would do it, but no I had to uninstall it so that the live installer would work! Then I reinstalled Outpost with no problems.
So does this mean I have to do this every time I update?

The only problem I had was that I had uninstalled ver 4.x prior to installing 5. I got an error 1 when the installer started. I tried again and got the same error. I could see that it was checking for related apps, so I closed and then reinstalled ver 4.x, rebooted, imported my saved configuration, and then ran the installer for 5 again. This time, it completed successfully. It seems to be working just fine, checked by running a smart scan and then an in depth scan with no problems. Thunderbird is not integrated, but that's a whole separate sob story. This is on XP SP3.

Lol, I see your point. Removing, using ccleaner and reinstalling worked for me. I just installed on 3 computers in the last hour and not one activating issue.

trjam, uninstall and ccleaner didn't do it for me, still can't activate. Appreciate the tip, though. In my case, I am wandering if there is some sort of certificate issue affecting security or something.

I think I will go back to V4 for a while till things settle out.....
