Well when I auto-generate the rules, it combines rules as much as it can to consolidate. I would change everyone to users (builtin\users)

Hm. I'm testing it out with Java.

I have the rule as Deny by publisher set to Java and I'm adding exceptions to certain paths. I will start a new topic about this.

I am using TrueCrypt 6.1 on a laptop. I needed to wipe the laptop and put in my trusty Active@ Killdisk. I thought I would try and get into the hard drive and see if I could get at files... I COULD! TrueCrypt was setup using the full disk encyrytion and I was still able to read into the hard drive and move a file from the hard drive to a thumb drive. Anyone else able to do this?

i might be off topic somewhat, but do you really need Java?

it's been banned from my computer for many years now.
i usually can find similar apps that don't need Java.

No Realtime AV and FREE Security Setup

    • Windows 7 Profesional SP1 32-bit (Standard User Account/SUA)

        • Software Restriction Policy (SRP)
        • Microsoft Baseline Security Templates, EMET and 1806 trick (3)
        • deny Everyone from executing on data partition and download directory, userspace including desktop
        • disabled unnecesary services (ie. print spooler, windows search, windows defender)
        • Windows Backup and Restore (system image backup)

      2. Network:
        • Windows Firewall with Advanced Security
        • OpenDNS
        • MVPSHOST

      3. Browser(s):
        • Mozilla Firefox (6.0.2) - (Daily Browsing)
          • Noscript
          • Adblock Plus
          • HTTPS Everywhere

        • Internet Explorer 9 (Banking Browser)
          • Do not save encrypted pages to disk.
          • Disable Browser Geolocation
          • and some hardening available from gpedit.msc

      4. Sandboxie
        • Separate Sandbox for different tasks.

    Comments and Suggestions are welcome.

Darn good favorites, IMO :thumb: If you're willing to pay for Avira Premium, even better. For me it was just as light as the free version with Web Guard & Proactive. I expected some slowdown, but got none.

As much as I liked it though, for 5+ years it found nothing and was just using up resources. As light as it was, any real-time scanning has an impact. Getting Sandboxie made parting ways with it very easy to do.

Two years ago i bought a license for Avira Premium and i was more than satisfied. But i wasn't using Sandboxie back then.So now,i can use with confidence Avira free and SBIE.And i was thinking too to drop the AV,but it seems that i'm not ready yet...:)
