Comodo Cleaning Essentials 1.xx Thread

Right now I think they are training the engines and using btw other things the feedback to know which combinations of detections in the engines gives malware and which ones gives FP or safe files even if some egines detect it as not safe. With this data and using ai they can tune up Valkyrie.

Maybe in a month or less we will see it already integrated.

 

We have just released COMODO Cleaning Essentials 1.7.192479.98 which addresses some issues with detection and cleaning new malware.

I still can't find DACS still for some strange reason. Going to test it against RC2 soon.

 

The old version can't even scan anymore. Looks like Comodo wormed out of this.

Don't know, but the scans never work. RC2 scans zero objects and finishes too quickly.

 

Probably becuase of the new av engine, since is dependant of the cloud maybe they have deactivate it.

It was a temporary issue, RC2 DACS works now. It's still too buggy for me though, so I've stayed with the newest release.

 

A bad performance by comodo over here (CCE deleting some crucial windows files)

 

It's a problem from 2 months ago already fixed in the new CCE 1.7 version 45 days ago.
At least take a look about what you are posting the next time, I don't see anybody on this forums posting old and already fixed bugs.

 

I posted the bug(FP) to them a long back too but still that file is flagged So still I have to add it to exclusions

More better info to you... Guess you might have played cricket 07 game, there is one file (can't recollect the name) was flagged by CCE, I submitted the file but still it is flagged. And I didn't knew that it was months old coz I forgot to read it, I am not embarrassed at all that I forgot to read, as comodo still hasn't fixed that FP that I submitted >2months before

Does Killswitch update on its own or does it rely to the main CCE program/gui for the updates?

 

I don't think it relies on that for definitions. The programs are updated together.

6 hours of scanning

Yes but Combofix is not designed to just be ran everytime you think you have malware.

Unfortunately, DACS is still beta, and I think I know why.

 

Also Comodo has develop their own version of Killswitch (they will not use the process hacker base anymore) and it will be integrated into CIS 6 in substitution of the "View active process list" and will be accessible from the tray icon.
