I reverted to ESET, after uninstalling PCAV 1.5 PRO ;). It is quite slow at boot, heavier on CPU than ESET and I still have the extremely slow scan (2h30m) issue. I don't have any complaints about the protection it offers though, I will check it out again at later beta versions for version 2.0.

Would SpyShelter overlap with MBAM PRO do you think?

I never used mbam for realtime.. But I think they both can work together without any problem.. Just exclude spyshelter from mbam if you see any problem :)

Any two given true security products overlap in some extent, this is axiom. Another question is in what extent. This depends very much on their versions. But which is more important, every update may change situation very much.

I've been for almost a week now with this new set-up and it's been very light and stable so far. I like KIS 2012 very much. Hadn't been using Kaspersky for quite some time - probably more than an year and a half.

As far as I know PC Tools Firewall Plus is just based on the Windows Filtering Platform and adds a light HIPS.

I had the same experience with KIS 2012, until it stabbed my in the back after some days, starting to use 99% of the CPU all time.
