Zemana Anti-Malware is a rebrand of Hitman Pro.

 

The beta cannot update the stable (its made like that). But there is a workaround:

1. Uninstall Hitman Pro from Add/Remove Software.
2. Download the beta (build 122) on the desktop.
3. Remove the word beta from the filename (eg. HitmanPro35beta.exe -> HitmanPro35_122.exe)
4. Add a registry key HKLM\Software\Hitman Pro\AutoUpdate REG_DWORD 0
   This is needed otherwise build 122 will update itself to stable release (= revert to build 121). This key will suppress the update for 14 days.
5. Start Hitman Pro and click Next. Choose Yes on the Setup so that Hitman Pro installs itself. Click Next. Then close Hitman Pro.
6. Start Hitman Pro again, goto Settings and see that right-click scan is enabled, just as a stable version.

I have Hitman Pro 3.5.8.121 x64 version, in windows 7 and i´ve noticed that the startup scan don´t run, and the uninstaller leaves behind Hitman Pro driver. Anyone else with the same problem with the startup daily scan?

Afaik, the startup scan is done only per 24 hours so f.i., if you do a scan at startup at 15:00, it won't start if you reboot at 13:00 next day.
Perhaps this is the 'issue'? (First thing that comes to mind...)

 

Since i installed hitman a few days ago, no startup scan have been done. I already tried to remove the delay, reinstall... i´ll wait a bit more. Ps: i checked the startup monitor in ccleaner, and there´s no entry related to Hitman Pro either.

Thanks Kernelwars, the problem is that that option is already selected but yet no startup scan is done. Can someone confirm, using msconfig, if any entry related to Hitman Pro is added to startup if "Scan computer daily during startup" is selected? Thanks!

If you re-check the checkbox a task is added to the Task Scheduler of Windows (Vista/Win7). Under Windows XP it adds an entry to the registry's HKLM\..\Run.

Just want to let you know that last beta upgrade fixed my problem reported in this post.

Btw, does HP able to scan ISO files ? Seems finishing its duty damn fast on a 611MB file of mine:

1.) HitmanPro detects a file of the Windows Search Indexer as a virus but it must be a FP since no other scanners seem to detect it:

The Beta (3.5.9) filters corrupt PE files whereas the current Stable (3.5.8 ) does not filter corrupt PE files.
