Seems redundant. This can be done from within Windows via the cmd prompt. Of course some may not be comfortable using the cmd.

TCP/IP: netsh int ip reset
Winsock: netsh winsock reset catalog
Renew Internet Connections: ipconfig /release or ipconfig /renew
Flush DNS: ipconfig /flushdns

I haven't used AVZ Antiviral Toolkit in a long time. Doesn't AVZ Antiviral Toolkit also have some similar repair features? How do the features in AVZ Antiviral Toolkit compare with Complete Internet Repair?

I downloaded the program and clicked "Flush DNS Resolver Cache", which I've done via the command prompt previously. That is, at least I THOUGHT I clicked the arrow next to that choice.

Rather, I discovered I clicked "Repair Internet Explorer" [I have IE8], and now, guess what? IE DOESN'T WORK AT ALL! It's been destroyed by this program somehow and in some way. Almost ALL menu choices under "Page", "Tools", and "Safety" are grayed-out, including Windows Update and Internet Options.

I was able to reset IE to its default settings in CP but it did absolutely no good; same result as described above. FWIW, Opera and Firefox (Minefield actually) work just fine, as does MS Outlook.

Any help with this issue would be GREATLY appreciated. Otherwise, it appears as if I'll need to restore an image (thanks to whatever this program did to IE).

Well, thanks but, frankly, this program is *dangerous*. The problems with it, IMHO, are (a) it's not *immediately* clear that clicking the arrows will *immediately* invoke the selection (it is stated at the very top of the UI to "Select your repair options and press 'Go!' to start"), (b) there is apparently no way to stop a procedure once started, (c) there is apparently no way to "undo" what the program has done, at least the program does not appear to have that capability and, (d) it's too easy to inadvertently click the wrong arrow in which case......too late.

Thankfully, I had several ShadowProtect backups from which to choose. After screwing around trying to fix whatever this program broke for ~45 minutes, I restored an SPD image in less than 10.

 

I saw that selection; it was directly under "Flush DNS Resolver Cache" ("Repair Internet Explorer 8.0.6001"). Unfortunately, in my case it actually broke IE8.
