I check regularly for updates with X-Change, it seems much easier than when I used Adobe. Adobe used to scare me ... it still does! LOL

You can limit it via Edit > Preferences > Performance.
I've manually typed 2, and now it can't get past 81.9 mb.

Well, a new build (.191) is already out -->

    http://www.tracker-software.com/product/downloads

Not sure if the memory issue has been resolved but it's probably worth grabbing as the folks at Tracker typically stay on top of things when it comes to bug fixes and feature enhancements. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for changelogs (pretty lengthy lag following releases).

Anyone wanting to use PDF-XChange Viewer to edit PDFs should be cautious. The app creates ugly watermarks in the document when it is edited and saved, for example to add/remove pages:

As much as I like PDF-XChange Viewer, I find this unexpected surprise totally offputting. And stupid, too: If someone wants to edit a PDF, he/she likely does so in order to be able to present it in a way that looks good. The last thing you need then is silly advertising for a PDF reader.

What do you want for nothing?
Pay for the Pro version for full functionality.

The main available edit tools (e.g. "Comments and Marup Tools") don't have any 'watermarks in the document'.

Pro features are very well advertised - see screenshots. You don't need to use it (you are well advertised to the 'watermarks in the document' consequences: you accept or not). There aren't any surprise at all.

Also you can 'hide' them and so none sensitive'user annoyance comes out:

Watermarks are no problem for me since I'm using it only as a document viewer and don't plan on needing to edit. Local bus schedules here, for instance, are available online only in PDF format, which I've never understood ... why a 2 meg file for a route that only runs twice a day o_O

Yes, I only really need it for a document viewer. I'm pretty OK with X-Change, although Sumatra looks good (& light). Either way, for me anyway, it is an improvement over Adobe.
