Debian/Ubuntu package management: Have you ever tried wajig?

I had heard of wajig a long time ago and installed it a couple of months ago but had no time to test it - and forgot about it

But now I've detected it anew - and I really like it! wajig combines such Debian/Ubuntu tools like apt-get, apt-cache and dpkg under one hood which simplifies package management on the console a lot. You can even start a simple GUI by entering gjig.

EDIT: The remarks regarding sudo don't apply for Ubuntu.
