I don't know what good Opera extensions like Adblock and External Scripts are good for.
They only block after you tell them to once the page has loaded. No security there at all imho. Firefox NoScript blocks all that stuff before the page has loaded
and users have to then decide whether to add one or more scripts/objects to the whitelist. I have javascript disabled globally and only allow it for trusted sites that require it.

Indeed, just use the hassle-free urlfilter.ini from Fanboy. If you don't want to update this list manually, you can always write or seek for a simple script doing this for you.

    @all
Installed Opera 11.00.1055 today and I must say I'm impressed. I'm looking forward to compare Firefox 4 and Opera 11 once they become final. Lately I've been trying out quite some browsers on both Windows and Linux and returned to my Firefox roots.
My default/main browser-usage now looks like this (never used IE as main browser):
    1) Started with Mozilla Suite v1.0.x
    2) Switched to Firefox from v0.5/v0.6
    3) Switched to Chrome/Chromium from v4.0
    4) Switched back to Firefox v3.6.12
    5) Switching to Opera 11 final?

Just loaded the latest build. Wow, it is fast! Firefox may lose a user yet.

been using opera 11 since a few days now. it is fast, though it has some glitches, which comes natural in alpha stage.

the Noads extension has to improve a lot before getting anywhere near adblockplus.

since jaegermonkey is on his way, im waiting for the finals to make a comparison

must say: keep up the good work Opera developers

this newest build is WAY slower than the last one for me. imo they should stick with what works instead of all this new stuff they keep adding. i was enjoying the crazy fast speed. not that this build is that slow but way slower than previous ones

enable mouse gestures, to get right-click back for 1094. fyi, the new visual mouse gestures is kinda neat - try press & hold right mouse button to see it.

    Ur welcome :)

There's new build 1104 out which fixes this (also other fixes), but I'll be leaving mouse gestures enabled for time being, since it's quite fun. :)

Note that the Opera 11 Beta1 introduced a notable bug for extensions that can break them if you have two or more extensions installed that both access the scriptStorage API. It can appear to make the extensions unresponsive (does not work) and erase the data stored in scriptStorage. For example, if you have NotScripts and NoAds installed together. Many people are running into this problem. For now, you will have to disable some extensions, wait for the next Beta, or downgrade to the previous Alpha if you want to avoid this bug.

Good thing about Proxomitron is that you can run several browsers through it! So one set of rules binds them all :thumb:
