What is your security setup these days?

I don't use VLC,with WinPatrol FP i can manage.So,i can rely on Forticlient as it is,or do you think i need a HIPS?

Yes there is a conflict. My two most loved programs. I can't use both together. Its like a bad marriage. Whenever I had EAM installed and tried to start MBAM real time it would lock up. I'm excited that they are working on a solution though. Thats good news.

three updates about Fortinet,
1. Make deletion of objects slower.
2. may be causing problems with system restore.
3. I could not find its startup key in msconfig, Ccleaner or Winpatrol.!!

I may be wrong or may be this is a problem with my customization; I have to find out..!!

Just disabled some features of Fortinet, like disabling the compressed file scan in real time, scan while write etc. Problem seems to have solved..
MD is great but not for me... I used it only as an AE sometimes back... Basically I don't like HIPS these days. Among HIPS I prefer to use those in Private Firewall / Comodo Firewall.

 

I have just added EMET in my arsenal.

Thanks for confirming what I vaguely remembered. Yes, good to know they are working on a fix, MBAM was running smoothly on my system, but people have said good things about Mamutu and I wanted to see if a HIPS integrated well with my other security.

 

I also noticed that Fortinet caused problems with system restore. After changing to MSE it was gone.

 

i am very happy with WinPatrol Plus Start Up Program protection in real time,i tested it againts 5 fake antiviruses and after reboot all was nice and normal i only remove the debris with mbam this version is nice with the registry protection also

note:the start up was prevent changes in the hide alert mesage option

 

in the near future i am planing to run prevx+winpatrol plus+pe guard
