The 64bit version benefits from the additional antimalware protection we've added to both the 32bit/64bit versions - we have some new and tighter tuned engine heuristics and database reporting methods which provide a nice boost to detections :)

The live version 3.0.1.65 will automatically update to the new version as soon as we've released it on 32bit and 64bit machines so you don't need to install the RC yet :)

The "(Standard)" part is what we will be removing, as well as a rewording of the Maximum text. We've corrected the incompatibilities resulting from Maximum self protection so it should be much more reliable now and will now be the default to aid in protecting the browser from outside tampering.

Okay, so I'll reset Self Protection to Maximum. :)

It is possible that GeSWall is blocking Prevx from fully seeing into the browser, which is why the text reads "Unknown". We have another user reporting this as well and will be investigating it closer with the next build.

I love your suggestion about letting the user drag/drop the tab - I think that will clear up a lot of the possible tab position incompatibilities with other security applications also integrating similarly into the browser. We will be adding this functionality as soon as we've finished all of the compatibility fixes/additional pieces :thumb:

Yes, I found that post and commented there as well. I'd like to learn the differences between an isolated browser in GeSWall and a browser protected by Prevx Whatever You're Gonna Call It. :)
Glad you like the idea! :)

Indeed :doubt: We found that there were too many users being confused by our branding changes so we are fully moving away from the Edge/CSI/eSAC branding with the next version to simplify everything (except for the inclusion of the new name of the browsing security which we're having because of the completely parallel functionality :))

Maybe just the new name of the browsing security can retain the old edgy branding... Prevx EdgeBrowse, EdgeSurf, or EdgeLock! (Shameless plug for Name Game submission) :)

I want to report that I am unable to take screen shots, even when allowing them, and I also want to report some weirdness with RC3.0.4.183 and MailWasher Pro. What I see is a black square around each of the buttons at the top of the MW page (Check Mail; Stop; Process Mail; Mail Program & Spam Tools.) But I can't take a screen shot of it because Prevx won't let me, even when I follow the prompts and allow FastStone Capture to take a screenie. The page I want just disappears. This also happens with MSPaint. I get a Prevx warning about the screen capture attempt, I click through saying it should be allowed, then the subject disappears. This is with GeSWall not isolating my browser.

When I switch back to isolated browser in GeSWall, there is no MailWasher Pro trouble with black buttons, and I can easily take screen shots, as seen below.

I should note that I am running an older version of MWPro, v5.3. I have not wanted or needed to upgrade. Maybe that is the problem with the black squares, but I'm still having problems allowing screen shots even when I say it's okay. :)

Hopefully this hasn't already been covered (I skimmed the previous pages); Using Firefox and IE I see the Prevx menu in the browser, but nothing in Google Chrome (see image).

Other then that, the RC is looking great so far :)

I agree that a drag and drop tab would be cool. Since it's so small it's not too bothersome where ot is unless you are using Iron/Chrome/Chromium.

Joe, i may have been one of those reports, and as i PM'ed you, it is not Defensewall, it's Opera (and not 10, i use 9.6something). Both IE8 and FF 3.0.1 provide the green websecure icon whereas Opera does not. another apparent anamoly is, that since i have installed .183, i can no longer open pdf files (in Opera). i receive an "internal error" dialog.

so with respect to DFW the new P3 seems compatible. Opera, at least on my box, there are issues.

EDIT: i just checked and i am unable to open pdf's in IE8, while i can in FF 3.0.11

Hi Joe

Can confirm what Page42 is reporting...and I am running the latest version 6.51 of MailWasher Pro.

I have the Prevx Web Browser Security feature disabled and that has alleviated my aforementioned problems with FastStone Capture and with MailWasher Pro.

I also began receiving multiple BSDOD's this morning...

STOP: 0X0000008E, which I believe might be related to device drivers? Unfortunately, I am looking at this Prevx RC with a skeptical eye, since I am not getting the same blue screens on my other machine, and I still have Prevx v3.0.1.65 running on it.

Again I would like to be able to have a Delete All button if possible instead of one at a time.

Sorry for the BSODs :doubt: We will be investigating these ASAP - if you have any minidump files from C:\Windows\MiniDumps, could you possibly send those to report@prevxresarch.com so that we can investigate them closer?

At this point, I'd recommend uninstalling and going back to v3.0.1.65 just for stability reasons. We will have a new build out within the next couple days which should greatly improve stability throughout but will need to take a closer look at FastStone Capture/MailWasher.

We're nearly done rewriting the Opera support entirely. Opera uses some different interfaces from IE/FF which make it non-trivial to work with but I believe we now have a stable implementation for it which will be included in the next RC update :)

That sounds like a great alternative... simply resetting the feature's configuration to how it was out-of-box. :thumb: :)

Apart from the Mailwasher Pro issue the RC is working perfectly and not a BSOD in sight...so my eye is far from skeptical ;)

Well, I had yesterday also a BSOD with RC version:

0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0x804ef196, 0xb3984bb0, 0x00000000)

Minidump file is already sent to report@prevxresearch.com

I am back to 3.0.1.65 because that version works fine,
so I guess I am in the skeptical camp too. ;)

Sorry Joe, I viewed a minidump file, but then didn't save it, and now there is nothing in the folder you mentioned. I have reverted to v3.0.1.65.

I really enjoy this version of Prevx although it consumes more memory that the old version. The secure browser addition is really worth the price of Prevx itself. I have a problem with clipboard data and Clipmate. I disabled all of the identity protection and still Clipmate doesn't see Firefox's clipboard data.
